Shaking Our World: Plate Tectonics

Shaking Our World

You will work collaboratively to complete assignments from a Menu. You will work to complete a given number of tasks at each level working together at work stations. You will each have different tasks to complete and should choose the station to complete the work based on your personal interest.

Essential Questions

-       How do the earth’s tectonic plates move?
-       How does the earth change due to movement along plate boundaries?
-       What are the features of a plate boundary?
-       How does plate movement affect landforms?

REQUIREMENTS:

1. ACTIVITIES - Choose 2-3 activities that you are most proud of to present (Model, Mini-posters, Foldables, Prediction Map, Labs, Narrative Video, Animation, Poem, Song, Photographic Evidence, etc...)

2. HANDOUTS - Include a handout for your students to complete while you are presenting. You may use the quizzes that you have already created or you may have to create something new. You should print 4 copies (if it is only 1 page) or give them to Kara to copy for you.

Your presentation should be NO LONGER than 10 minutes.

Presentation Examples:
